Cordless Drill Simplified

Not long ago I had a few friends aboard and I had asked them if they could replace the plastic mounting handle on the outboard motor. This required that they drill a blank piece of plastic that I had brought for this.

“Do you have a cordless drill?” was the next thing asked.

I thought about it, smiled, and said YES, I sure do. I handed them this cordless drill. They just stared at it for a moment, smiled, and said, “Well OK, I guess that will work”.😁

Sure it will. And it did.

It takes up little space in the tool locker, never runs out of battery power, never needs charging, is fairly corrosion resistant, and has a hollow handle that can store a dozen drill bits. What’s not to like. The cost can be anywhere from $5 on Ebay for a “Vintage” model, or $20 on Amazon for a modern version.
