Fishing Lures -make your own “Trash Lures”
Lures can be expensive, especially in far away places. And who knows what works best?
On TRIUMPH we have our favorite lures like the red and white cedar plug and the tan 9 inch rubber squid that skips on top of the water. But we also make our own lures. It’s fun, and if you have kids aboard you can make it a fun and creative activity. For men, it’s more of a competitive game. Whose lure can catch a fish?
We call them “Trash Lures” because they are made from what we find in the trash. We use bits of rope, bits of fabric, instant coffee packets, the top off of a ziplock bag, the silvery inside of a Frito bag, really, just about anything. We tie it all together tightly, then cover the top with tape.
Is it true that your luck improves if you have a woman spit on the lure?
